Walter S. Tarnasky

Walter Tarnasky, 76, Wishek, ND died Saturday afternoon, September 27, 2008 at the Wishek Retirement Home in Wishek, ND.

Walter was born May 27, 1932 at Lehr, ND, the son of Michael Tarnasky and Mathilda (Kramlich) Tarnasky. He attended the local rural school near Lehr where he received his elementary education. In 1949 he moved with his parents to Streeter where he did odd jobs and worked at various farms in the area. He entered the Wishek Retirement Home in 1998.

He is survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Ruben Tarnasky, Gackle, ND, Esther Dockter, Fargo, ND, Marvin (Tillie) Tarnasky, Bismarck, ND, Elmer (Adeline) Tarnasky, Fargo, ND, and Idella Tarnasky, Wishek, ND, 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 nephew, 1 sister-in-law, and 1 brother-in-law.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday September 30,2008 in the Wishek Nursing Home Chapel, Wishek, ND, with Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Streeter Cemetery at Streeter, ND.

Visitation - 10:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday @ the funeral home
