Troy Schwarz, 44, Jamestown, ND died Saturday morning May 24, 2014 at his home in Jamestown, ND.
Troy Wilmer Schwarz was born September 17, 1969 in Fargo ND and was adopted three weeks later into the loving arms of Wil (Wilmer) and Helen (Hausauer) Schwarz and resided in Billings, MT. In February 1974 his mother, Helen, passed away of cancer.
In June, 1978, his dad married Lois Pfeiffer of New Rockford, ND. The family resided in Billings, MT where Troy received his elementary education until 1981 when the family moved to Jamestown, ND where Troy attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Parochial School and later Jamestown High School graduating in 1987.
He joined the US Army September 1987 and served his country for three years at Ft. Hood, Texas being honorably discharged in 1990.
In September 1994 he attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND where he enrolled in the John Deere Diesel Mechanic program and graduated in May 1996.
In October 2009 Troy met the love of his life, Tammy Nickels, of Fort Pierre, SD they were married July 14th, 2012. Troy loved to Hunt! His greatest joy was hunting with his friends but found the ultimate joy in hunting with his wife. He cherished the moment in Montana taking his wife on her first hunt and going on coyote hunts and deer hunts locally with her. He loved to hunt in Wyoming and North Dakota but his heart was in Montana.
Troy worked several jobs including Feed Lots and Trucking. His passion however was working on John Deere Tractors. He worked several years for Jamestown Implement and at the time of his death he was employed with Barnes County Equipment in Wimbledon ND.
He is Survived by his wife, Tammy; parents, Wil and Lois Schwarz, Jamestown, ND; Sister Wanda (Carl) Boomgaarden, Niece Sara and Nephew Ryan of Rancho Cordova, CA; Brother Joshua (Taryn) Schwarz, niece Lexie of Fargo, ND. His Grandparents, Esther Hausauer, Bismarck, ND and Vivian Pfeiffer, New Rockford, ND; Brothers in-law Daniel (Mary) Nickels, Mobridge, SD; Shane (Traci) Nickels, Ft. Pierre, SD; Sisters in-law Sharon (Bill) Cubrich-Baltz, Mead, NE; Sandra (Larry) Cronin, Ft. Pierre, SD; Bonnie Nickels, Ft. Pierre, SD; Sherry Evans, Omaha, NE; Cindy Nickels, Pierre, SD; Karen Nickels (Dave Halder) Mitchell, SD and Karla (Michael) Aasby, Highmore, SD and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Helen, grandparents, Clarence Hausauer, Martin and Hilda Schwarz, James Pfeiffer, great-grandma, Floreana Nicoletti, his in-laws, Clause and Virginia Nickels.
Memorial Service – 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 31, 2014 at Victory Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Shawn Bowman, officiating
