Tillie Remboldt

Matilda ‘Tillie' Remboldt, 96, Jamestown, ND died early Monday morning October 4, 2010 at the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND.

Tillie Hehn was born May 5, 1914 near Gackle, ND, the daughter of Carl Hehn and Karolina (Haas) Remboldt. In the spring 1916 her parents moved to Jordon, Montana where they farmed. They later returned to North Dakota and she received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Arthur J. Remboldt were married October 29, 1932 at the Country Seventh-day Adventist Church, NE of Gackle, ND. They made their home on a farm NE of Gackle where they farmed until 1980 and in 1985 moved into Jamestown for their retirement. Following the death of her husband on April 23, 1989 she has continued to reside in Jamestown. She entered Rock of Ages 2001where she has resided.

She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamestown, ND. Tillie also enjoyed making quilts.
She is survived by her 2 grandchildren, Russ Jr. (Teresa) Remboldt, Gackle, ND, Holly (David) Wald, Edgeley, ND, 1 daughter-in-law, Bonnie Remboldt, Fargo, ND; 5 great grandchildren, Corey (Samantha) Remboldt, Ashley (Richard) Zabka, Wayne (fiancé Chelsey Lux), Whitney and Weston Wald; 2 great great grandchildren, Courtney and Emma Remboldt; 1 brother Albert (Violet) Hehn, Lincoln, NE; 1 sister-in-law, Estella Hehn, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Russell, Sr., Delmar ‘Ron'; 1 grandson, Brian Remboldt and 1 great great granddaughter, Autumn Remboldt.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday October 7, 2010 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Bob Forbes, officiating.
Interment will be made in the SDA Cemetery, NE of Gackle, ND.
Visitation - 9-8 Wednesday October 6, 2010 at the Funeral Home
