Stanley Walter Schauer

Stanley Walter Schauer, 58, Conway Springs, KS, died early Tuesday morning August 24, 2010 in the Wichita Veterans Hospital in Wichita, KS.

Stanley was born December 26, 1951 at Bismarck, ND the son of Walter Schauer and Leona (Knoll) Schauer. He received his elementary education in the Lehr Public School and grew to manhood in the vicinity. He entered the US Army 1969 served until 1971. Following his discharge he went to Devils Lake, ND where he worked for an area farmer. He later moved to Kansas where he did custom combining and drove semi until he became ill this year.

He enjoyed fishing and watching sports.

Surviving are 7 sisters and 2 brothers, Carol (Harry) Motz, Jamestown, ND, Cindy (Keith) Ames, Brooklyn Center, MN, Nancy (Jon) Pahl, Edgeley, ND, Donna (Kenneth) Saylor, Houston, TX, Noreen (Tim) Scholl, Rapid City, SD, Jeff Schauer, Houston, TX, Barry (Chris) Columbia Heights, MN, Melanie Schauer, New Rockford, ND, Sherie Kappes (Rex), Cozad, NE, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM Saturday September 4, 2010 in the Wishek City Cemetery at Wishek, ND, with Revs Marty and Tammy Toepke-Floyd officiating.
