Rosella Scheaffer, 99, Jamestown, ND died Saturday evening February 19, 2005 at the Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.

Rosalia (Rosella) Loebs was born February 23, 1905 in Omio Township, Emmons County, near Temvik, ND, the daughter of Christian and Christina (Docktor) Loebs. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education. She grew to womanhood in the vicinity, where she worked for area families.

She and John Scheaffer were married December 10, 1933 at the Ebenezer Evangelical Church, rural Wishek, ND. They made their home on a farm SW of Wishek. In 1937 they moved to a farm in the Hidden Township near Buchanan, ND, where they lived and farmed until 1982, when they moved into Jamestown, ND. In 1999 she entered the Hi-Acres Manor. Following the death of her husband, March 27, 2004, she continued to reside at Hi-Acres Manor.

She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown. She enjoyed gardening, raising poultry, and cooking.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Clayton (Teresa) Scheaffer, and Clifton (Teri) Scheaffer, all of Buchanan, ND, 2 grandsons, Abraham (Amy) Scheaffer, Sheldon, IA, Noel (Jennifer) Scheaffer, Sioux Falls, SD, 2 granddaughters, Emma Rose Scheaffer, Martha Anne Scheaffer, both of Buchanan, ND, 3 great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Rose was the oldest and last living member of her family.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 23, 2005 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Gary Ball-Kilbourne, officiating pastor.

Interment will be made in the Highland Home Cemetery at Jamestown, ND

Arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND
