Rose Schrenk

Rose Schrenk, 89, Ellendale, ND formerly of the Gackle, ND community died Tuesday September 10, 2013 at the Peace of Care Center in Ellendale, ND.

Rose Presler was born April 23, 1924 at the family farm 5 ½ miles NW of Fredonia, ND, John Presler, Jr. and Katie (Entzi) Presler. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Herman Schrenk were married October 12, 1941. They made their home on his family's farm homestead. In 1967 they moved into Gackle. In May of 1998 they moved to Ellendale where they resided. Following the death of her husband on January 15, 1999 she has continued to reside in Ellendale.

She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Ellendale, ND. Rose loved music, singing, studying her bible and also had a great love for cats.

She is survived by 1 son, Earl (Joyce) Schrenk, Ellendale, ND; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Emilie (Elmer) Erbele, Lehr, ND; 2 half-sisters, Lorena Hillius, Jamestown, ND and Alvina Moldenhauer, Hanover, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 5 daughters in infancy.

Funeral Service - 10:30 A.M. Friday September 13, 2013 United Church of Christ Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Bob Forbes officiating.

Interment - Gackle City Cemetery, Gackle, ND

Visitation - 1 hour before services at the Church.
