Rose Fischer, 89, Streeter, ND died Saturday December 3, 2005 at the Med Center One Hospital in Bismarck, ND.
Rose Ackerman was born August 5, 1916 at Streeter, ND, to Jacob Ackerman and Katherine (Stroh) Ackerman. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.
She and Walter E. Fischer were married November 24, 1938 in Streeter, ND.
They made their home on a farm 4 miles west of Streeter until 1942, when they moved to a farm North of Streeter, where they farmed until 1944 when they moved into Streeter. In 1952 they moved to Napoleon, ND but returned to Streeter in 1954, when he became manager of the Streeter Co-op oil company. Following the death of her husband February 4, 1969 she has continued to reside in Streeter.
She was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deloris (Lester) Brady, Bismarck, ND 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 5 sisters, Walter Ackerman, Jamestown, ND Edwin (Veronica) Ackerman, Venturia, ND, Reuben Ackerman, Gackle, ND, Hubert (Eileen) Ackerman, Yelm, WA, Elmer (Dena) Ackerman, Litchfield, MN, Helen Fischer, Elk Grove, CA, Lydia Reich, Minot, ND, Frieda Wittmier, Steele, ND, Emma Hins, Jamestown, ND, Edna Niskanen, Mt. Iron, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Maurice and Donald.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday December 8, 2005 in the St. Lukes Lutheran church in Streeter, ND with Rev. Darrell Schultz, officiating.
The interment will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery, Streeter, ND.
Arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Homes in Gackle, ND.
Visitation - 7-9 Tuesday and 9-9 Wednesday at the Funeral Home in Gackle.
Prayer Ser. - 7:30 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home in Gackle.
