Roberta Schmidt

Roberta Schmidt, 50, Jamestown, ND died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Roberta Leean was born November 4, 1973 in Medina, ND the daughter of Gary and Cheryl (Neva) Leean. She grew up in Jamestown, and graduated Jamestown High School in 1992. She met her husband Paul in high school and had their first son Brandon Paul in 1991. She and Paul Schmidt were married in 1994 in Jamestown where they made their home. She worked at Alternative Billing Solutions, Jamestown Regional Medical Center, heritage center and was currently working at Ottertail Power Co up until her death.

Roberta and Paul went on to have two more children, Justin Emmauel and Elizabeth Helen in 1997 and 2001. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing with her niece and nephews. Roberta loved to talk with anyone she came across and seemed to know everyone.  Roberta will be heavily missed by all the many that knew her.

Roberta is survived by her three children, Brandon, Justin, and Elizabeth, all of Jamestown; one brother, Nolan Leean, Jamestown; her father, Gary Leean (Vivian Heier); uncle, Darryl Neva, Jamestown; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; other extended family and many life-long friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and mother.
