Richard Nenow, Sr.

Richard Nenow, 76, Streeter, ND died Friday afternoon April 28, 2006 in the Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND surrounded by his family.

Richard Nenow was born January 2, 1930 on the family farm southeast of Streeter, ND the son of Nikolai Nenow and Pausha (Mienoff) Nenow. He received his elementary education in the local school and grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm. As a young man he worked on the Minow ranch near Miles City, MT for three years coming home in 1950 to start farming the home place.

He and Julianne Faleide were married June 23, 1963 at the Viking Church, near Maddock, North Dakota. They have made their home on the family farm southeast of Streeter where Richard was born. After his retirement he has continued to reside on the farm and help his son Richard farm the home place.
He is a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Streeter, ND, member of the Farmers Co-op Elevator board for 20 some years.

Surviving are his wife, Julianne, Streeter, ND, his children, Pausha (Danny) Mastre, West Fargo, ND, Richard Jr., Streeter, ND, Mary Gina (Jason) Ingebrigtson, Oxbow, ND, 4 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Jim (Leona) Carmichael, CA, Mike (Vange) Nenow, Jamestown, ND, Roger (Lois) Nenow, Jamestown, ND, 1 half brother Nikolai (Anna) Nenow, Jr. Aurora, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 half brothers and 4 half sisters.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday May 3, 2006 in St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND with Rev. Brian Wasmoen, officiating.

Burial: Lutheran Cemetery, Streeter, ND
Visitation: 9-9 Tuesday at the Funeral Home in Gackle
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Funeral home
