Richard Johnson

Richard L. Johnson, 65, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday December 19, 2023 at Ave Maria Village.

Richard was born December 3, 1958 at Valley City, ND, the son of Harold and Mary (Geiger) Johnson. He moved with his parents to Minnesota where he attended school. In 1975 they moved to Jamestown, and he joined the National Guard May 22, 1977. He was honorably discharged March 23, 1983, with the rank of PV1.

Richard traveled around and held various jobs until returning to Jamestown in 2005, where he worked at Newman Signs until retiring due to health reasons.

He is survived by his 2 sisters, Vickie (Mark) Lura, Sanborn, ND, Jo Marie (Curt) Wiest, Jamestown, ND, several nieces, nephews, cousins and 1 aunt, Evelyn Geiger, Valley City, ND.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Johnson and Gary and Mary Fode, sister Terri Otto in 2000 and brother Todd in 2005.
