Phyllis Entzi

Phyllis Entzi, 77, Fredonia, ND died Sunday afternoon February 24, 2013 at the Wishek Living Center, Wishek, ND.

Phyllis Moldenhauer was born April 28, 1935 in McIntosh County, the daughter of Lucas Moldenhauer and Hulda (Dickhoff) Moldenhauer. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and helped on the family farm.


She and Andy Entzi were married November 25, 1953 at Ashley, ND. They made their home on a farm 5 miles northwest of Fredonia where they farmed. Phyllis also taught school in a one-room schoolhouse. After the death of her husband in 2003, she moved to Kulm, ND. In 2005 she entered the Wishek Living Center.

Phyllis loved to spend her time camping and she and Andy were avid fishermen. She also loved to cook, read and embroider. When Phyllis suffered a stroke in 2004, she did not let it detour her but instead fought with great determination to live life as normal as possible. Phyllis's wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was a member of the Nazareth Congregational Church in Fredonia.

She is survived by her 2 children, Boyd (Kristi) Entzi, Fredonia, ND; Lynette (Michael) Odden, Bismarck, ND; 4 grandchildren, Jory, Ryan, Emily, Andrew; 2 great grandchildren, Javen and Tayden; 5 sisters and 5 brothers, Grace, Jacqueline, Gloria, Deborah, Fern, Donavon, Curtis, Dwight, Lamont and Jerry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 daughters, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.


Funeral Service - 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 27, 2013 at the Nazareth Congregational Church in Fredonia, ND with Rev. Bernie Jaskens, officiating.

Burial - Nazareth Congregational Cemetery at Fredonia, ND.

Visitation - 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday @ the Haut Funeral Home Wishek,
