Pauline H. Krieger, 81 Gackle, ND died early Tuesday morning May 13, 2008 at the MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Pauline Hirth was born August 22, 1926 at Edgeley, ND the daughter of William Hirth and Matilda (Rohde) Hirth. She received her elementary education and attended Edgeley High School graduating in 1946. She attended Ellendale Teacher's College and graduated in 1948. She taught at rural schools for seven years in LaMoure County until 1955 when she went to work at Jamestown Hospital as a Nurse's Aid.

She and Albert Krieger were married July 5, 1961 in Canton, SD. They made their home in Gackle, ND, where she worked at the Krieger Theatre which they owned and operated. Following the death of her husband on September 29, 2004 she continued to reside in Gackle and work at the theatre.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND.

Pauline loved to work in her garden. Her pride and joy of her flowers were her roses. She enjoyed walking around town and visiting with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Marchel (Rachel) Krieger; 2 granddaughters, Rebecca and Jessica Krieger, all of Jamestown, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2004, one brother Kenneth and her twin sister, Pearl.

Graveside Service will be at 10:30 Friday May 16, 2008 in the Gackle Cemetery in Gackle, ND with Rev. Russ Pollock, officiating.

Visitation - 9 - 9 Thursday @ the Funeral home in Gackle.
