Paul Guthmiller, 88, Medina, ND died Saturday morning November 17, 2007 at his step daughter's home SW of Wimbledon, ND.
Paul Guthmiller was born December 23, 1918 at the family farm home North of Pettibone, ND, the son of Ludwig and Caroline Guthmiller. He attended the local rural school where he received his elementary education and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
He and Frieda Morlock were married 1943 at Pettibone, ND. They made their home on a farm NW of Pettibone until 1969 when they move to Medina where he had a trucking company. Following the death of his wife in 1971, he continued to reside in Medina.
He and Sarah Van Eaton were married December 20, 1974 at Medina, ND. They made their home in Medina where he worked for his son Gene, doing construction as Guthmiller Earth Moving Inc. Following his retirement he continued to reside in Medina.
He was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Medina.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah, Medina, ND, 4 children, Gloria (Dennis) Dollinger, Bismarck, ND, Gene (Brenda) Guthmiller, Medina, ND, Delton (Joey) Guthmiller, Medina, ND, Pat Guthmiller, Medina, ND, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 5 step children, Jack (DaLene) Van Eaton, Hot Springs, SD, Sherry (Ray) Hansen, Tripp, SD, Jay (Mary) Van Eaton, Jamestown, ND, Susan (Dale) Karn, Wimbledon, ND, Joel Van Eaton, Spearfish, SD, 16 step grandchildren, 22 step great grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 sister, Albert Guthmiller and Anne Schempp, both of Jamestown, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, 1 son, 1 step grandson and 2 brothers.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday November 20, 2007 at the English Lutheran Church at Medina, ND, with Pastor Chris Hogstad, officiating.
The interment will be made in the Medina Cemetery at Medina, ND.
