Palestina Muller

Palestina (Pat) Muller, 84, formerly of Gackle, ND died Wednesday afternoon January 4, 2006 in the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck, ND.

Pat Netz was born August 12, 1921 near Burnstad, ND, the daughter of Emanuel Netz and Katherina ( Rall ) Netz. At an early age she moved with her parents to the Gackle area where she received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She was united in marriage to Herbert Muller on November 14, 1943 in Gackle, ND. They made their home in Gackle where Herb worked with his brother Gust Muller in the Hardware business and later he sold Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance. In addition to helping her husband in the hardware business, she worked at various business places in Gackle. Following the death of her husband June 24, 1994 she resided at Golden Years Living Center and the Gackle Care Center before she entered the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in December of 1997 where she has continued to reside.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND having served in various capacities, also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 59 years. Pat's creative talents were shared with the community in many ways. She enjoyed being called upon to provide decorations for special events and providing her skillfully decorated cakes which were always made from scratch. She took pride in her yard which reflected her knack for flower gardening. Her daughters lives have been greatly influenced by her creative guidance and love of gardening.

Surviving are two daughters, LeAnn (Gene) Severson, Bismarck, ND, Mavis Muller, Homer, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 1infant sister.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday January 7, 2006 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, North Dakota with Rev. Russ Pollock, pastor officiating.
Interment will be made in the Gackle City Cemetery at Gackle, ND.The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at the Gackle Care Center and the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for the dedicated and professional attention she received while she was in you care. Your compassion and ability to reflect her goodness did much to enhance the quality of her life.
