Olga Madche

Olga Madche, 102, Jamestown, ND died Sunday November 18, 2007 at the Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.

Olga Nitschke was born October 11, 1905 at the family farm home south of Jud, ND, the daughter of Jacob Nitschke and Fredericka (Reinhardt) Nitschke. At an early age they moved to a farm north of Jud, later moving to Alfred. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Jacob Madche were married November 28, 1925 at LaMoure, ND. They made their home on a farm south of Alfred. In 1936 they moved into Alfred where she worked at the School. Following the death of her husband in 1970 she continued to reside in Alfred. In 1997 she moved to Jamestown and in 2005 she entered the Hi-Acres Manor.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle.

She is survived by her children, Harry (Delight) Madche, Bremerton, WA, Doris (Glen) Greenstein, Jamestown, ND, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter, 1 grandson, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday November 21, 2007 at the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle, ND, with Pastor Tim Blackman, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Alfred Cemetery at Alfred, ND.
