Olga Fischer

Olga Fischer, 89, Jamestown, ND died Friday November 18, 2011 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center at Jamestown, ND.

Olga Veil was born October 8, 1922 at the family farm SW of Gackle, ND, the daughter of John J. Veil and Lydia (Dockter) Veil. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Raymond Fischer were married October 17, 1943 at Streeter, ND. They made their home on a farm west of Streeter where they farmed until 1968 when they moved into Jamestown. Following the death of her husband May 11, 1985 she moved to Gackle. In 1991 she moved back to Jamestown where she has resided.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, ALCW, choir, and bible school teacher.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Orville (Verna) Fischer, Madison, WI; Erwin (Pat) Fischer, Jamestown, ND; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Fischer; Becky (Greg) Pfennig and their children Trevan, Connor, Tricia and Cambri Pfennig; Chad (Laura) Fischer and their children, Abbie and Eli Fischer; Tony (Buffee) Fischer and their children, Charli, Brooke and Caden; 2 brothers and 6 sisters, Lenora Labrensz, McLaughlin, SD; Bertha (Ervin) Labrensz, Jamestown, ND; Magdalena Klundt, Bismarck, ND; Henry (Marcene) Veil, Jamestown, ND; Esther (Bob) Unruh, Fargo, ND; Violet Fischer, Ft. Dodge, IA; Eugene (Virginia) Veil, Bismarck, ND; and Ileene (Nels) Albin, Jamestown, ND; and a very dear friend, Reinie Iszler, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons, Brian, Jeffrey and 1 granddaughter, Peggy.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday November 23, 2011 at the Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown, ND, with Rev. Fred Morrison, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Gardens at Jamestown, ND.
