Mary Weixel, 88, Jamestown, ND died Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Ave Marie Village in Jamestown, ND.
Mary Pfaff was born December 21, 1924 at Tappen, ND, the daughter of Simon and Katherina (Mittleider) Pfaff. She grew up on the family farm south of Tappen and attended the country school which was close to the farm.
She and John Schmidt were married November 6, 1944 at Tappen, ND. They farmed south of Tappen and later moved into Tappen. John passed away in 1978.
She and Harold Weixel were married October 18, 1979 at LaMoure, ND. They continued to farm until they moved to Jamestown, ND in 1980. In 2009 Harold and Mary moved to Edgewood Village in Bismarck where they lived for about a year before moving to Ave Marie Village in Jamestown. Following Harold's death in 2012, she continued to reside in Ave Marie
Mary was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, enjoyed playing card, board games, dancing and watching the Minnesota Twins,
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Kleese, Rapid City, SD; 3 grandchildren, Ray Kleese, Devils Lake, ND; Carol (Tim) Giggee, Gillette, WY; Sheila (Todd) Weihe, Sioux Falls, SD; 4 great grandchildren; 2 step sons, Dennis (Sherri) Weixel, Jamestown, ND; Duval Weixel, St. Pete's Beach, FL; 3 step daughters, Donna (Terry) Nitschke, Bismarck, ND; Dianna (Tim) Oswald, Bismarck, ND; Debra Ketterling, Bismarck, ND; 13 step grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 1 sister and 4 brothers.
