Marvel Tuttamore

Marvel Tuttamore, 88, Jamestown, ND, died Thursday September 1, 2022 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Marvel Monson was born July 23, 1934 at Grafton, ND, the daughter of Henry and Twila ‘Toni’ (Thompson) Monson. She attended school and graduated from International Falls High School in 1952.

She and John ’Jim’ Holsten were married October 10, 1953 and made their home on a farm near Souris, ND until 1978 when they moved to Bottineau. Her husband passed away August 18, 1981. In 1982 she moved to Tucson, AZ.

She and George Tuttamore were married October 8, 1982 and made their home in Tucson where she worked as a property manager. Following the death of her husband April 2, 1992, she continued to live in Tucson until retiring in 1996. She moved to Jamestown in 2002 to be closer to her family.

Marvel was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Souris and the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Hospital Auxiliary.  She loved spending time with her friends & family and also had a love for her music.

She is survived by her children, Laurie (Tony) Hagan, Jamestown, ND; Terry (Brenda) Holsten, Minot, ND; Sue (Dean) Hafner, Jamestown, ND; Jim (Rhonda) Holsten, Mohall, ND; Sandra ‘Sam’ Scott, Jamestown, ND; Jill (Troy) Pfaff, Jamestown, ND; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Marvel was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 1 son, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 1 brother and 5 sisters.
