Martha Trudeau, 91, Jamestown, ND died Sunday August 31, 2014 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Martha George was born January 8, 1923 at Lehr, ND, the daughter of Jacob George and Amelia (Gohl) George. She received her education at the local rural school and helped on the family farm and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and George Trudeau Jr. were married October 18, 1944 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where she babysat and was a part time waitress and cook at the VFW. After the death of her husband in 1977, she continued to live in Jamestown until entering the Ave Maria Village in December of 2008.

She was a member of the Basilica of St. James and the St. Joseph Circle. She was also a member of the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, fancy cross stitching and reading. She also loved to cook and especially eat her favorites, cucumbers and watermelon.

She is survived by 2 sons, Ernest (Brenda) Trudeau, Jamestown, ND; Rodney Trudeau, Fargo, ND; 1 daughter, Pamilla Schauer, Jamestown, ND; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Trudeau, Jeff (Kayla) Trudeau and Amanda Trudeau; 2 great grandchildren, Nicholas and Caitlin; 1 brother, Marvin George, Randolph, MA; 2 sisters, Erna Buchholz, Jamestown, ND, and Irene Rivinius, Gackle, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, Mary Smith, and 1son-in-law, Irvin Schauer.

Visitation - 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday @ the funeral home

Vigil Service - 7:00 PM Monday @ the funeral home

Funeral Service - 2:00 PM Tuesday September 9, 2014 at the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, with Msgr. Jeffrey Wald, officiating

Interment - Calvary Cemetery in Jamestown, ND
