Margaret Kostelecky, 95, Jamestown, ND died Thursday afternoon September 25, 2014 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.
Margaret Hegel was born April 2, 1919 near Shefield, ND, the daughter of George Hegel and Eva (Hummel) Hegel. She received her elementary education in the local school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.
She and Lloyd Kostelecky were married October 15, 1941 in St. Pius Catholic Church at Shefield, ND. In 1941 they moved to their own farm near Dickinson where they resided until 1955. They moved to a farm near Buchanan, ND. In 1961 they moved into Jamestown where she worked at the Anne Carlson School, Ebertz Laundry, Trinity Hospital and later Jamestown Hospital. Following the death of her husband July 19, 1995 she has continued to reside in Jamestown.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Donna (Shannon) Freeman, Sacramento, CA; 2 sons, LeRoy and Lester Kostelecky, both of Jamestown, ND; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1995, 1 son, Howard in 1993, 6 brothers, John, Harry, Rudolph, George, Matt, Frank, and 5 sisters, Catherine, Mary, Rose, Lena and Monica.
