Lydia Weisz, 90, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday February 25, 2010 at her home in Jamestown, ND.

Lydia Kienzle was born December 1, 1919 at the family farm home SW of Streeter, ND, the daughter of Christof and Christine (Job) Kienzle. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Edwin Weisz were married February 4, 1944 at Seattle, WA. They made their home in Seattle, and Great Falls, MT. In 1945 they moved to Lehr, ND where they farmed on his parent's farm 10 miles North of Lehr. In 1951 they moved to a farm near Sutton, ND until 1956 when they moved into Wimbledon. Her husband passed away November 11, 1985. She moved to Jamestown in 1986 where she has continued to reside.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Wimbledon.

She is survived by her 2 children, Don (Meredith) Weisz, and Betty (Larry) Mahlke, all of Jamestown, ND, 7 grandchildren, Todd, Troy, Melissa, Tom, Travis, Tracy and Christine, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Leo Kienzle, Belfield, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 5 brothers, Louie, Gideon, Art, Alvin, LeRoy and 3 sisters, Frieda Finck, Emma Rath, and Viola Finck.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday March 1, 2010 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND, with Rev. Kenrad Pederson, officiating.

The interment will be made at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND in the spring.

Visitation - 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Sunday @ the funeral home
