Lydia Just, 87, Wishek, ND died Wednesday February 9, 2011 at the Wishek Home for the Aged in Wishek, ND.
Lydia Stroh was born March 20, 1923, 2 miles west of Wishek, ND the daughter of John D. Stroh and Eva (Dockter) Stroh. At an early age she moved into Wishek with her parents. She received her elementary education at Wishek Public School and graduated in 1942. Following graduation she attended New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo, ND. She then started work with her sister, Atlanta Larson in the Modern Beauty Shop in Wishek. In 1946 she bought the business and continued to operate it.
She and Alvin M. Just were married July 20, 1947 at Wishek, ND. They made their home in Wishek where she continued to run the Beauty Shop and he owned and operated an Auto Body Shop. . In 1995 she entered the Wishek Home for the Aged. Alvin passed away May 19, 1995.
She was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Wishek. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Paula (David) Miller, Mandan, ND; Pamela Just, Bismarck, ND; 1 granddaughter; Tracy Miller, Mandan, ND, 1 brother and 1 sister, Edwin (Stella) Stroh, Bismarck, ND, Mart Boschee, Bonnie Lake, WA, 2 sisters-in-law, Leah Just, Wishek, ND and Lydia Stroh, Choteau, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, Gust, Enoch, Walter, Art, Gideon and 1 sister, Atlanta.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 PM Friday February 11, 2011 in the St. Lukes Lutheran Church at Wishek, ND with Rev. Adam Roberts, pastor officiating.
The interment will be at the Wishek City Cemetery in Wishek, ND.
Visitation - 1-5pm Thursday and 10-1pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
