Luella Meidinger

Luella Meidinger, 92, Wishek, ND died early Tuesday morning March 12, 2019 in the Wishek Living Center.

Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM Saturday March 16, 2019 in St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND with Rev. Kristen Schwan officiating.

Vistation - 1-4 Friday at the Funeral Home

Luella Hochhalter was born January 29, 1927 four miles west of Wishek, the daughter of Emanuel Hochhalter and Maria Magdalena (Ketterling) Hochhalter.  She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Elmer Meidinger were married on October 19, 1947 at Ashley, ND.  Following their marriage, they continued to farm in McIntosh and Logan Counties until 1993 when they retired and moved into Wishek.  Following the death of her husband on March 16, 2007, she continued to reside in Wishek and in 2016 entered the Wishek Living Center.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND.

Surviving are 2 sons, Bruce (Tammy) Meidinger, Wishek, ND; Don (Tammie) Meidinger, Bismarck, ND; 3 granddaughters, Melissa (Ty) Shope, Bismarck, ND; Sara (Zach) Gross, Wishek, ND; Kristin Meidinger (Jason Gregoryk), Wilton, ND;  8 grandchildren, Abby, Hayden and Rhyan Shope; Blaine, Reagen and Kenady Gross; McCoy and Fynlee Gregoryk; 8 step grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, Lorrene Hochhalter and Verna Hochhalter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister Lea Just, 3 brothers, Reinhold, Gottfried, Calvin, 1 brother-in-law, Albert Just and 1 sister-in-law, LaVina Hochhalter.

Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM Saturday March 16, 2019 in St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND with Rev Kristen Schwan, pastor officiating.

Interment will be made in St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND. (Spring)
