Louise Geinert, 86, Alfred, ND died Sunday September 30, 2012 at the Wishek Home for the aged in Wishek, ND.
Louise Ziemann was born June 26, 1926 at Jud, ND, the daughter of Erich Ziemann and Anna (Schoeber) Ziemann. She received her education and graduated from Jud High School. She went to college in Ellendale and became a teacher.
She and Ralph Geinert were married September 17, 1948 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Alfred where she was a teacher. She taught school at Alfred, Bucyrus, Sydney and Adrian. She was a Postmaster and she also owned the cream station in Alfred. She retired in 1998, and in 2002 they moved to Alabama. In 2008 she entered the Wishek Home for the Aged at Wishek, ND. After the death of her husband in 2008, she continued to reside in Wishek.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and the PTA in Gackle, ND. She also was a member of the Alfred American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by 3 sons and 4 daughters, Erich M. (Cathee) Geinert, Carson, WA; Kathleen A. (Howard) Rolfe, Palermo, ND; Orrin D. (Anita) Geinert, Gurley, AL; Craig R. (Mary) Geinert, Helena, MT; Lynea L. (Eric Oines) Geinert, St. Paul, MN; Kristee L.A. (Karl) Freadhoff, Judson, ND; Wendy J. (Grant) Johnson, Argusville, ND; 1 daughter-in - law, Lori Geinert, Gackle, ND; 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Erich Ziemann, Mandan, ND and William Ziemann, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Dani, 1 brother, Albert Zeimann, and 1 sister, Helen Thom.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday October 8, 2012 in the Haut Funeral Chapel at Jamestown, ND with Pastor Linda Schauer, officiating.
The interment will be at the Alfred Cemetery in Alfred, ND.
