Loretta Berg, 89, Crystal, MN died Sunday evening September 25, 2005 at Crystal, MN.

Loretta Marie Klinkner was born June 6, 1916 at Viroqua, WI, the daughter of George Klinkner and Leona (Schmitz) Klinkner. She received her elementary education in the local school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and John Berg were married February 13, 1943 at Ping Hollow, WI. They made their home in LaCrosse, WI where she was a homemaker. In 1959 they moved to Gackle, ND and made their home on a farm southeast of Gackle where they farmed. Following the death of her husband December 23, 1974, she continued to reside on the farm until moving into Gackle in 1975 until moving to Crystal, MN in 2002.

She was a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church in Gackle, ND.

She is survived by her 8 children Ronald Berg, Riverton, WY; Mary Berg, Coon Rapids, MN; Karen Berg, Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte Kuechle, Crystal, MN; George Berg, Dickinson, ND; Rita (Jerry) Schmidt, Coon Rapids, MN; John Berg, Gackle, ND; Lori Berg, Coon Rapids, MN; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Edith Chapiewsky, Sparta, WI; Virginia (Herbert) Leisa, Cashton, WI; Catherine Anselmino, Joliet, IL; Dorothy (Florian) Stremcha, Madison, WI, and 1 brother, Leonard (Bernadine) Klinkner, Cashton, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sons, 1 brother and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Friday September 30, 2005 in the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND with Father Al Bitz pastor officiating.

The interment will be in the Gackle Cemetery in Gackle, ND.

Arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes of Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: 9 - 9 Thursday September 29 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown.
