Lorene Koenig, 75, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday evening January 29, 2013 at her home in Jamestown, ND.
Lorene Bentz was born January 10, 1938 on the family farm 5 miles SW of Gackle, ND, the daughter of John Bentz and Martha (Gienger) Bentz. She attended the local rural school and later attended the Gackle Public School. She grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm. In 1954 she began working at Ebertz Café in Jamestown until 1974 when she starting work at the Dakota Inn.
She and William Koenig were married August 12, 1978 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown. In 1992 she went to work for the Select Inn until 1997 when she returned to the Dakota Inn. She also worked at the All-Vets Club for a short time before retiring.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND and the VFW auxillary.
She is survived by her daughter Korene Bentz, Moores Hill, IN, 1 step-daughter Paula (Steve) Stromstad, Audubon, MN, 5 sisters and 1 brother, Helen Gienger, Spearfish, SD; Ray Bentz, Viona (Eugene) Schlecht, all of Cudahy, WI; Eva Schweitzer, Valley City, ND; Phyllis (Hillis) Aldrich, Robbinsdale, MN; Evangeline (Larry) Neuberger, Forest Lake, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 infant siblings, 2 sisters,
Erna and Lena and 1 brother Eldo.

Funeral Service - 2:00 PM Saturday February 2, 2013, Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Rich Fitzer, officiating.

Interment - St. Johns Cemetery, Kensal, ND (Later Date).

Visitation - 9-5 Friday and before Services on Saturday at the funeral Home.
