Lillian Mueller, 94, Gackle, ND passed away peacefully from this life into heaven, Wednesday evening February 25, 2009 at the Wishek Home for the Aged in Wishek, ND.
Lillian Remboldt was born August 3, 1914, at Gackle, ND the daughter of Henry Remboldt and Christina (Hehn) Remboldt. She attended school in Gackle and graduated from Gackle High School in 1933. She helped in her father's grocery business in Gackle.
She and Edward Mueller were married March 19, 1939 at the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle by Rev. G.W. Rutsch. In the early years of their marriage, Lillian worked in her parent's store. In 1942 they went into the grocery business where she worked full time as well as being a housewife and mother. In 1974 they retired in Gackle. After the death of her husband in May of 2006, she continued to live in Gackle. In October of 2006 she entered the Gackle Care Center and in June of 2008 she entered the Wishek Home for the Aged, in Wishek, ND.
She was a life member of Grace Baptist church in Gackle, ND, and a charter member of the Baptist Gleaners where she served faithfully in any job she was asked to do.
Lillian loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and hosted many dinners for family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was calling people on the phone to cheer them up and encourage them. Lillian was a kind, caring, and compassionate person who loved life and was always concerned about helping others. She had a deep faith and a commitment to serve God.
Lillian will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Valerie and husband Al Scheet; granddaughter Robin (Mike) Iszler; grandson Paul (Joni) Remmick; great grandchildren, Jenni (Cody) Kummer, Jessinda and Joshua Remmick , Katie Iszler; 4 step grandchildren, Mitch, Mike, Greg, Jim Scheet; 7 step great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and 2 step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; son-in-law, Helmuth Remmick; 1 brother, Ruben (Budge); 1 sister Helen, and her niece DeAnn Schaible.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 PM Sunday March 1, 2009 at the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Tim Blackman, officiating.
The interment will be at the Gackle City Cemetery in Gackle, ND.
