LeRoy Hehr

LeRoy Hehr, 63, Fredonia, ND, died Saturday morning April 22, 2006 at the South Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, ND.

LeRoy Hehr was born January 26, 1943 at the family farm 4 ½ miles north of Fredonia, ND, the son of Emil Hehr and Emma (Buerkle) Hehr. He attended the local rural school where he received his elementary education and helped on the family farm until 1963 when they moved into Fredonia.

He and Betty Ann Reeb were married April 24, 1971 at Fredonia, ND. They made their home on a farm 5 miles north of Fredonia on the family farm where they have farmed and resided since.

He was a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church, church council, Lions Club, the Fredonia Fire Department, and served as Logan County Supervisor for Janke Township, and Economic Development Board. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with friends.

He is survived by his wife Betty Ann, Fredonia, ND, 3 sons, Tim Hehr, Tempe, AZ, Chad (Melissa Dewald & daughter, Taylor) Hehr, West Fargo, ND, Mark Hehr, Buchanan, ND, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Lucille Kennedy, Jamestown, ND, Lester (Arlene) Hehr, Fredonia, ND, Euella Wolf, Fredonia, ND, Diane Hehr, Monticello, MN, Donald Hehr, Miramar, FL, Thilmer Hehr, Sacramento, CA, Larry (Maureen)Hehr, Colorado Springs, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday April 27, 2006 at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND with Rev. Brandon Woodruff, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery north of Fredonia, ND.
