June Venn was born June 13, 1944 to Theodore and Anna Schlenker at the family farm near Jud, North Dakota. At an early age she moved with her parents to a farm 1 mile west of Alfred, N.D. She graduated from high school in 1962. June was employed with Gate City Bank, Fargo for 32 years, serving as the assistant to the President. June retired December 2001.
June married the love of her life and her best friend, Donald Palmer Venn on November 27, 1969. June and Don enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 37 years. Over the years, Don and June had many memorable trips together. Several years ago they purchased a motorhome, traveling, sightseeing and visiting their family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Don; her brother Albin E. Schlenker (Clara) of Alfred, ND; her sister Patricia Schlenker Lahr (Gary) of Bismarck; and Don's sister, Arlene Motteberg and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Anna Schlenker and Don's parents,

June will be remembered for her generosity, for her love, and for her kind and gentle spirit. We also will miss our family organizer and our planner. We all were privileged to have had June touch our lives! She will be dearly missed.
