Joanne Salzsieder, 73, Jamestown, ND died Friday July 2, 2010 at her home in Jamestown, ND.
Joanne Qualley was born September 19, 1936 in Marion, ND, the daughter of Oscar Qualley and Goldie (Wisenhuntter) Qualley. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and helped on the family farm.
She and Lyle Salzsieder were married September 15, 1954 at Aberdeen, SD. They made their home in Valley City, ND where she was a homemaker. In 1965 they moved to Edgeley, ND where her husband farmed. In 1985 she moved to Bismarck where she attended school. Later she worked in the office at Faith Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. She moved to Jamestown, ND in 1999. She was married to Lyle for 33 years and continued to be his lifetime companion.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Patricia (Kerry) Olson, Bismarck, ND; Kathy Glaser, Lansford, ND; 3 grandchildren, Toby, Kari and Kyle; 1 great granddaughter, Gitzie; 2 sisters, Doreen Else, Verona, ND; Lavelle (Gordon) Dick, Buffalo, MN, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Alfred and 1 brother and 2 sisters.
The graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday July 8, 2010 at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Edgeley, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
