Jerome Wentz, 81, Napoleon, ND died Wednesday October 20, 2021 at the St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND.

Jerome was born October 10, 1940 at the family farm home SW of Streeter, ND, known as the Flats in Logan County, the son of Edward and Marie (Buck) Wentz. He attended school in the Streeter District. He farmed with his parents until 1966 when he took over the farm.

He and Norma J. Diede were married June 17, 1966 at Gackle ND.
They made their home on the farm and farmed until semi retiring in 2009, when they moved into Napoleon and their son Steve took over operations of the farm.
In 2021 he became ill and resided in the St. Rose Care Center where he passed away unexpectedly.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Norma, Napoleon, ND; 2 children, Julie (Sam) Haase, Ellendale, ND, Steven (special friend Carolyn Severson) Wentz, Streeter, ND; 2 granddaughters, Jessica and Troy Brown and their children, Jayden and Emily; Courtney Hahne and her son Hudson; and friend Phillip and his son Hemi; Step granddaughter, Crysta (Aaron) Farthing; step great granddaughter, Lily and step grandson Matthew Haase; his mother-in-law, Violet Diede and 1 sister, Darlene (Gerald) Ova, Buchanan, ND; brother-in-law Darrell Ova, many nieces and nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Berdella Ova, and father-in-law Raymond Diede.
