Jay F. Thornton, 50, Jamestown, ND died Friday night, December 5, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Jay Thornton was born November 20, 1964 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Floyd Thornton and Betty L. Thornton. He received his education and graduated from Medina High School in Medina, ND.
He owned and operated JT Productions and also worked at J&L Service, Precision Results, 281 Express Lube, Dales Service Center and Don Wilhelm's in Jamestown, ND.
He enjoyed Singing and performing, listening to music, boating, hunting, watching old movies, playing pool, grilling and entertaining family and friends.
His family and friends were very important to him and loved spending time with them. Jay belonged to the Jamestown Jaycees, Men's Pool League and Mixed Couples League. He also used to volunteer for the Frontier Village Shootouts.
He is survived by his brother, Jon Thornton, Cleveland, ND; special friend, Brenda Widmer, and her daughter Whitney; his "Amigos", Tina (Bill) Busche, Dennis Keith Taxis (Leah Dallman); and many other close friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Betty Thornton.
Memorial Service: 10:30 AM Friday December 12, 2014 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM Thursday December 11, 2014 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown.
Visitation: 9 am - 8 pm Thursday at the Funeral Chapel
Interment: Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, ND
