Irvin Gideon Schauer, 60, Jamestown, ND went to heaven on December 24, 2009. Though we miss him dearly, others will rejoice in renewed life through his wish of being an organ donor.
Irvin was born November 5, 1949 at Jamestown, ND to Gideon and Edna (Ebel) Schauer. He grew up on the family farm near Streeter, ND. Irvin started his education at a one room country school and finished his education, graduating from Streeter High School in 1968. Upon leaving home, he began his lifelong career of being a baker. Irvin worked at several bakeries throughout the years and had been a baker for over 40 years. Many good creations were made by him.
Irvin met and married Pamilla Trudeau on April 20, 1985 in Jamestown and have lived there ever since. They had no children, but were proud parents to 'canine fur babies' Betsy and Shay Ann which he loved dearly.
He was a member of St. James Basilica Church in Jamestown, and always enjoyed the midnight Christmas Eve service. He enjoyed camping, campfires and the great outdoors. He was a member of FCRV camping club for many years. He was creative and talented in woodworking and painting. He was a friend to many and lived his life to the fullest
He is survived by his wife Pamilla, Jamestown, ND; his sister, Rose (David) Paulson, Bismarck, ND; and two nephews, Michael and Timothy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday December 30, 2009 at the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND with Father Joe Barrett, officiating.
The interment will be made in the Calvary Cemetery at Jamestown, ND in the spring.
