Irvin Klatt, 80, Jamestown, ND, died Monday February 5, 2024 at Ave Maria in Jamestown.

Irvin was born May 4, 1943 at Killdeer, ND, the son of Jacob and Tillie (Goetz) Klatt. He attended school at Werner, ND and graduated from 8th grade. Irvin worked for farmers in the Killdeer/Werner area.

Irvin and Esther Amalia Weigum were married June 14, 1964 at Glendive, MT. He worked at ranches in the Glendive/Wibaux, MT and Killdeer/Mott, ND until the 1970s when they moved to Jamestown. Irvin worked for Lindberg Construction for many years and also as a custodian for the Elks Lodge. He retired in 2016 and continued to live in Jamestown.

He is survived by his wife, Esther, Jamestown, ND; son, David (RosAnn Buck), Dickinson, ND; 3 grandchildren, Latasha Klatt, Dickinson, ND, Christopher Klatt, Devils Lake, ND and Elsie Klatt, Dickinson, ND; 1 brother, Raymond (Vel) Klatt, WA and 1 sister, Agnes Engwick, TX.

Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Ray, in infancy, 2 brothers, Leo, Wilbur, 1 sister, Viola.
