Hazel Kleven, 87, Medina, North Dakota died Thursday afternoon June 14, 2007 at the Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown, ND.

Hazel Robinson was born November 10, 1919 at Crystal Springs, ND the daughter of John Robinson and Mary (Unce) Robinson. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and graduated from Medina High School in 1936.

She and Clarence Kleven were married November 25, 1939 at Windsor, ND. They made their home on the former Day Farm where they farmed until 1979 when they retired and moved into Medina. Following the death of her husband November 17, 2006 she continued to reside in Medina until May of 2007 she entered the Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Mary's Altar Society in Medina. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time in her kitchen and especially enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, James (Eloise) Kleven, John (Judy) Kleven, Tom (Connie) Kleven, all of Medina, ND, Janice (Duane) Mack, Pettibone, ND, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Ardella Dockter, Jamestown, ND. Her special care givers, Dorothy Moser, Alice Opp, Julie Opp, Bonnie Hofmann, Ardis Hochhalter,Emma Kramlich and Sally Guthmiller.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday June 18, 2007 in the St. Mathias Catholic Church in Windsor, ND with Father Jerome Hunkler, officiating.

The interment will be made in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Medina, ND.
