Harry Wolff, 93, Streeter, ND died early Thursday morning August 13, 2009 at the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND.
Harry Wolff was born November 9, 1915 at Blackfoot, ID, the son of Gottlieb Wolff and Rose (Zeeb) Wolff. In 1916 the family moved back to the farm South of Streeter, ND. He received his elementary education and grew to manhood in the vicinity while working on the family farm.
He and Leah Ruff were married August 9, 1936 at Streeter, ND. They made their home on their farm West of Streeter until 1941 when they moved to the farm Southeast of Streeter, ND. They farmed for 49 years until selling the farm, retiring and moving into Streeter in 1992 where they have continued to reside.
He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND. He served on the Board of Streeter Housing. He was a Germania Township assessor and supervisor. He also served on various church boards and the Men's Brotherhood.
He is survived by his wife Leah, Streeter, ND; 3 sons, Clayton (Beverly) Wolff, Jamestown, ND; LeRoy (Shirley) Wolff, Missoula, MT; Darold (Diane) Wolff, Waverly, IA; 1 daughter, DyeAnne Flowers, Deltona, FL; 8 grandchildren, Wendy, Penny, Kelley, Melodee, Jennifer, Jonathan, Todd, Tami; 16 great grandchildren, Micah, Lucas, Trevor, Lane, Alex, Tyler, Hailey, Troy, Derek, Riley, Quintin, Andrew, Christopher, Daniel, Brandon, Joshua 2 great great grandchildren, Madison and Kylee; 1 sister, Viola Kaufman, Clackamas, OR; 2 half-brothers, Arlo Schulz and Norman Schulz, both of Portland, OR; 1 half-sister, Darlene Mehlhoff, Onalaska, WI, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Rueben Wolff, 1 step-sister, Frieda Henne, and 2 step-brothers, Fred and Eddie Schulz.
The Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday August 18, 2009 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND with Rev. Darwin Kopfmann, officiating.
The interment will be made in the Streeter Cemetery at Streeter, ND.
