Harris Kinzler, 66, Fredonia, ND died Monday June 23, 2008 at his farm NW of Fredonia, ND.

Harris Kinzler was born October 29, 1941 on the family farm home NW of Fredonia, ND, the son of Walter Kinzler and Alma (Burkle) Kinzler. He attended the local rural school and also attended high school in Kulm and Gackle, graduating in 1960. In 1972 he received his BA degree in Ministerial Studies
from Midwest Bible College in Stanberry, MO.

He and Shirley Schlenker were married March 12, 1961 at Alfred, ND. They made their home on the farm NW of Fredonia until 1968 when they moved to Missouri, later moving to Conroe, TX where he was senior pastor at the Church of God (Seventh Day). In June of 1977 they moved back to the family farm 10 miles NW of Fredonia where they continued to reside.

He attended and served in the ministry at the Church of God (Seventh Day) in Alfred. He loved farming and especially spending time with his family and friends. He had a generous and giving spirit, highly motivated to excel in every endeavor and encouraged others to do their best.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, Fredonia, ND, 3 daughters, Gina Kinzler, Fargo, ND, Renee (David) Listul and Michelle (Ray) Hammer, all of Jamestown, ND, 2 grandchildren, Jonathan and Olivia Listul, at home in Jamestown, ND, his mother, Alma Kinzler, Jamestown, ND, 1 brother, Ardell (Diane) Kinzler, Chewelah, WA.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday June 27, 2008 in the Church of God (Seventh Day) at Alfred, ND, with Pastor Stephen J. Kyner, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Alfred Church of God Cemetery NW of Jud, ND.
Visitation - 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Thursday @ the funeral home in Jamestown
Prayer Service - 7:30 P.M. Thursday @ the funeral home in Jamestown
