Harley Glenn Herr, 86, Wishek, ND died Wednesday February 7, 2018 at the Wishek Living Center in Wishek, ND.

Harley Herr was born November 1, 1931 at Wishek, ND the son of Godfrey Herr and Ella (Frisch) Herr. He received his elementary education in the local rural school, attended Wishek High School and grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm. He moved to Fargo where he was a vacuum cleaner salesman later going to work for the Railroad and helped build the RR line from Lehr to Kulm.

He and Jeanette Giedd were married December 18, 1960 and made their home in Wishek where he farmed full time. He also worked part-time as a furnace repairman and fuel delivery with Kienzle Oil and also helped build the Wishek Living Center. Following the death of Jeanette April 23, 1966, he continued to live in Wishek.

He and Zelda Bartholomew were married October 6, 1967 in Bismarck, ND. They made their home in Wishek. In 1989 they moved to Jamestown where he was a janitor at the Jamestown College and also was a delivery driver for Jamestown Auto Dealers, in 2012 they returned to Wishek. Following the death of his wife Zelda in 2014 he has continued to reside in Wishek.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wishek, ND and the Victory Lutheran Church in Jamestown. As a young man, Harley enjoyed hunting with his uncle and cousins of the Frisch family in Ashley, fishing, going out for coffee with his friends, and going out to eat. He also enjoyed snow mobile racing and playing pinnacle at the Wishek Senior Center

He is survived by his 5 children, Darcy Herr, Bismarck, ND, Jeff (Brenda) Herr, Casselton, ND, Bruce (Stacey) Herr, Wishek, ND; Sheldon Herr, Mandan, ND; Robin Eckman, Cooperstown, ND; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Dwight (Bonnie) Herr, Jamestown, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and 1 sister, Darlene.

Visitation- 1:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday @ the Haut Funeral Home in Jamestown and 1 Hour before service at the Church

Funeral Service - 10:30 AM Monday February 12, 2018 in the First Baptist Church in Wishek, ND with Rev. Gordon Baken, officiating and Rev Shawn Bowman, assisting

Interment - Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek, ND
