Gordon Forester, 79, Jamestown, ND died Monday November 30, 2009 at the Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Gordon Forester was born December 12, 1929 at Kensal, ND the son of George Forester and Cecil (Neva) Forester. He received his elementary education in Kensal graduating from Kensal High School in 1948. He entered the United States Army at Valley City, ND January 16, 1951 and was discharged November 25, 1952 at Camp Rucker, AL with the rank of PFC.

He and Bernice Dorothy Haagenson were married August 14, 1953 at Fingal, ND. In 1954 they made their home in Jamestown, where he worked for Stutsman County Road Dept until 1968. He then worked for Arneson's Plumbing and Heating until his retirement in 1995. Following the death of his wife on September 23, 2005 he has continued to reside in Jamestown.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, V.F.W., American Legion and the AmVets. He also enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his 4 children, Myrna Lukson, Richland, WA; Kenton (Butch) and Sue Forester, Jamestown, ND; Gayle Forester, West Richland, WA; Michael Forester, Alexandria, MN; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 sister, Leatric (Jack) Wooddard, Fresno, CA; 1 special grandchild, Holly Jones and a very special friend, Mary Kulla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 1 daughter, Karole.

The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday December 5, 2009 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Kensal, ND with Rev. Robert Hill, pastor officiating.

The Internment will be at the Kensal Cemetery in Kensal, ND.

Visitation: 9-8 Friday at the Funeral Home

Prayer Service: Friday evening 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home
