Gertrude(Heinrich-Petersen) Duletsky, 83, Jamestown, ND died Thursday morning November 18, 2010 at the Eventide (Hi-Acres Manor) Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Gertrude Heinrich was born July 14, 1927 at Adrian, ND, the daughter of Herbert Heinrich and Anna (Ziegenhagen) Heinrich. She school in Adrian and was part of the last graduating class from that school. She then attended Jamestown College.

She and Harold Petersen were married in 1951. They had 4 daughters, Shirley, Leila, Cleona and Donna. She and Marvin Duletsky were married in 1961. They had 2 daughters, Yvonne and Brenda. She lived most of her life in Jamestown, moving to Williston, ND then Apache Junction, AZ and back again to ND. She worked at Preds Clothing Store, the Jamestown Café, Hamm's Market, Country Boy Dairy and McDonald's while raising her family. When they were grown and gone, she continued to care for others who needed help with cleaning and cooking.

Gertrude was a member of St. John's Lutheran and Immanuel Churches in Jamestown, and was a member of the Ladies' Circle. She was a Sunday school teacher and helped with music for many years. She was a Girl Scouts leader and 4-H leader. Gertrude taught her daughters how to sew and bake (the aromas of her fresh baked cookies and bread were enjoyable to come home to). She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, gardening, dancing with Marvin, and the medical and science of the world.
She enjoyed spending time caring for her grandchildren as they grew; as she got older, watching the antic of her great grandchildren when they visited.

She will be deeply missed, especially by her daughters and their families.

She is survived by 6 daughters, Shirley (Tom) Yingling, Wichita, KS; Leila (Terry) Petersen, Williston, ND; Cleona Wolff, Wichita, KS; Donna Schwartz, Jamestown, ND; Yvonne (Kevin) Olson, Jamestown, ND; Brenda (CJ) Wolff, Whitefish, MT; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 1 brother, George (Elaine) Heinrich, Adrian, ND and 1 sister, Ramona Bunge, Worthington, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
