Floyd V. Pfaff`

Floyd V. Pfaff, 86, Jud, North Dakota died early Wednesday morning August 27, 2008 at the Ava Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Floyd Pfaff was born January 28, 1922 at Jud, ND, the son of Gottlieb Pfaff and Katie (Oster) Pfaff. He received his elementary education in the local rural school and the Jud Public school. He grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm.

He entered the US Navy September 30, 1942 at Fargo, ND. He served at Hawaii. He was discharged December 21, 1945 with the rank of Motor Machinist Mate/3 at Minneapolis, MN.

He and Ella Nitschke were married October 3, 1960 at Gackle, ND. They made their home on his farm 5 miles SE of Jud. They moved into Jud in 2004 for their retirement. Following the death of his wife, June 9, 2008, he entered the Ava Maria Village at Jamestown.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Jud.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday August 29, 2008 in the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.

The interment will be made in the UCC Cemetery at Jud, ND.
