Esther Remboldt

Esther Remboldt, 98, Mandan, ND died Friday afternoon May 18, 2018 at Mandan, ND.

Esther Weixel was born February 28, 1920 in Stutsman Co, North of Streeter, ND, the daughter of Ludwig Weixel and Emelia (Weisenberger) Weixel. She received her elementary education in the local school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Ervin Remboldt where married June 30, 1939 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown. She worked at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown for 32 years. Following the death of her husband in 1991 she continued to reside in Jamestown. She worked at Rock of Ages in activities until she was 87 years old. In 2011 she moved to Mandan, ND where she has resided.

She was a member of the St. Paul’s Methodist Church. Esther enjoyed bingo and playing cards.

Surviving are her children, Phyllis Remboldt, Mandan, ND; Kerdall (Jill) Rembodlt, Rapid City, SD; Rick (Virginia) Remboldt, Dayton, FL; 5 grandchildren, Norma, Tina, Nikki, Scott and Eric, 13great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild coming in September, 1 sister, Hulda Siegle, Carrington, ND.She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Theodore, Raymond and Elmer; and six sisters, Ella Schnabel, Johanna Brych, Frieda Patzer, Gertrude Klose, Martha Sund and Edna Clark.
