Emma Miller

Emma Miller, 87, Wishek, ND died Saturday March 13, 2010 at the Wishek Home of the Aged in Wishek, ND.

Emma Dittus was born February 24, 1923 at Fredonia, ND, the daughter of Gottfried Dittus and Clara (Findel) Dittus. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Isadore Miller were married December 12, 1943 at Lehr, ND. They made their home east of Lehr where they farmed. Following the death of her husband April 27, 1970 she moved into Lehr.
She and Walter Miller were married December 13, 1971 at Lehr, ND. They made their home in Wishek. Following the death of her husband May 28, 1993 she continued to reside in Wishek and entered the Wishek Home for the Aged in February of 2005.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wishek.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Linda Sitter, Tarpon Springs, FL; 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Annetta Hauff, Hunter, ND; Gerhardt (Leona) Dittus, Lehr, ND; Alvina Otterstetter, Oakes, ND; Marion Purcell, Tulsa, OK; Roy Dittus, Portland, OR; Rueben Dittus, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and 3 brothers and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 18, 2010 in the United Methodist Church at Wishek, ND, with Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd, officiating.

The burial will be made in the Lehr Cemetery at Lehr, ND.

Visitation - 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday @ the funeral home in Wishek
