Emelia Bauer, 93, Wishek, ND died Sunday evening April 30, 2006 in Wishek, ND.
Emelia Rath was born July 12, 1912 in Kidder county, 4 miles east of Tuttle, the daughter of John Rath and Elizabeth (Spah) Rath. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.
She and Christ Bauer were married November 4, 1934 at Tuttle, North Dakota.
They made their home on a farm SW of Wishek, ND until moving to a farm 9 miles SE of Wishek in 1942. In 1974 they moved into Wishek where he worked for Raile Implement Co. Following their retirement they continued to reside in Wishek. Christ passed away December 16, 1990 and she has continued to reside in Wishek.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wishek.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Evelyn (Wilbur) Elhard, Jud, ND, Janice (Alvin) Dockter, Great Falls, MT, marvalene (James) Miller, Phoenix, AZ 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Sam (Edna)Rath, Tuttle, ND; Rueben Rath, Minot, ND; and 2 sisters, Rose Scherbenske, Tuttle, ND and Erna Weisenburger, Alexandria, MN, Brother-in-law Helmuth (Marcella) Bauer, Ashley, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday May 4, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Wishek, ND with Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd, officiating. Visitation: 10 - 8 at the Haut Funeral Home in Wishek
