Eileen Jean Brake

Eileen Jean Brake, 76, Jamestown, ND died early Monday morning August 31, 2009 at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.

Eileen Gunst was born August 24, 1933, at Hurdsfield, ND, the daughter of Adolph Gunst and Emelia (Werre) Gunst. She received her elementary education and graduated from Kulm High School.

She and Gerald Brake were married August 4, 1958 at Fargo, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where she worked at home as a housewife. Dolly also worked as a bookkeeper for a local mechanic shop. In 1975 she and Gerry moved to Forsyth, MT where he relocated while working for the railroad. Following the death of her husband she moved back to Jamestown to be close to her daughter Sue and grandson, Terrance.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, and loved playing bingo, cards and dancing.

She is survived by 1 son, Steven Brake, Forsyth, MT: 1 daughter, Suzanna Brake, Jamestown, ND; and 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 brother and 1 sister.

A social gathering will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday September 2, 2009 in the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
