Edwin Ketterling

Edwin Ketterling, 80, Lehr, ND died Tuesday June 16, 2009 at his home in Lehr, ND.

Edwin Ketterling was born December 5, 1928 near Guyson, ND, the son of Harold Ketterling and Hilda (Fuchs) Ketterling. He received his elementary education in the local school and grew to manhood in the vicinity.

He and Ella Bader were married September 11, 1952 at Fredonia, ND. They made their home on the family farm 8 miles SW of Fredonia. In 1964 they moved into Fredonia and continued to farm. He also did various jobs in the community. In 1968 they moved back to the farm where they farmed until retiring in 1997. In June of 2008 they moved into Lehr, ND where they have resided.

He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, served on the church council, member of the Fredonia Senior Citizens. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, going to auction sales and Flea Markets.

He is survived by his wife Ella, Lehr, ND; 2 daughters, Rachel Anderson, Plymouth, MN; Wanda (Wilbur) Zimmerman, Lehr, ND; 5 grandchildren, Justin Anderson; Derrick Anderson; Carrie Anderson; Wade (Brooke) Zimmerman; Willis (Sherrece) Zimmerman; 2 great grandchildren, Dylan Anderson; Parker Zimmerman, and 1 sister, Janice Martin, Jamestown, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 20, 2009 at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND with Rev. Adam Roberts, officiating.

The burial will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery at Fredonia, ND.

The prayer service will be at 7:30 P.M. Friday @ the funeral home in Wishek.
