Edna Hunter, 93, Jamestown, ND died Thursday afternoon March 8, 2007 at the Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.

Edna Swanson was born July 24, 1913 near Hannaford, ND, the daughter of Odin Swanson and Gilla (Sabby) Swanson. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.
She and Llewellyn J. Hunter were married June 30, 1936 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Missoula, MT where she worked as a pastry cook at the Montana State University. In 1957 they moved to Jamestown, ND where she worked at the M P Steak House and later went to work as a cook at the ND State Hospital. She retired from the ND State Hospital in 1977. Following the death of her husband December 5, 1981 she continued to reside in Jamestown.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and was very active in church activities.

She is survived by 4 grandchildren, Brian Kamlitz, Mitchell (RaeAnn) Kamlitz, Kimber Kamlitz, Elissa Kamlitz, 8 great grandchildren, Cody Kamlitz, Garrett Kamlitz, Stephanie Kamlitz, Torri Kamlitz, Kyra Kamlitz, Mason Kamlitz, Kaitlyn Kamlitz, Hunter Kamlitz, all of Jamestown, ND, 2 brothers, Orin (Helen) Swanson, Moorhead, MN, Alvin Swanson, Wimbledon, ND, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Kathy Spitzer, Kensal, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Karen, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday March 13, 2007 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Rich Fitzer, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Garden at Jamestown, ND.

Visitation - 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Monday @ the funeral homes
