Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy ‘Dotty' Johnson, 63, Jamestown, ND died Monday March 28, 2005 at the Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Dorothy Burke was born November 27, 1941 at Sallisaw, OK, the daughter of Charles Burke and Pauline (McCombs) Burke. She attended school and grew to womanhood.

She and Marvin Johnson were married July 18, 1959 at Carson City, NV. They made their home in Moffet Field, San Jose, CA and later moved to Atoka, TN in 1962. Later they moved to Chula Vista, CA while her husband was career military. In 1974 they moved to Harvey, ND and in 1979 they moved to Jamestown. She attended Valley City State College where she earned her BA in Art. She moved back to California for a short time and came back to Jamestown where she has continued to live. In 2005 she entered the Hi-Acres Manor.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND.

She is survived by her children, Gerald ‘Jerry' Johnson, Phoenix, AZ, Lee Anna (Damon) Peter, Valley City, ND, Duane Johnson, Fargo, ND, Warren (Katrina) Johnson, Jamestown, ND, 5 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Pat Lacy, Santa Cruz, CA, Stella Martinez, Watsonville, CA, 1 step brother and 1 step sister, Bob Masters, Arizona, and Katie Kinard, Mariposa, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers.

There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM Friday April 1, 2005 in the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, North Dakota with Chaplain David Fisher, officiating.
