DeLoris Eberhardt, 68, Jamestown, North Dakota died late Tuesday evening March 15, 2005 at the Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.
DeLoris DeWald was born April 8, 1936 at the family farm home 10 miles SE of Streeter, ND the daughter of Fred and Mary (Speidel) Dewald. In 1944 she moved with her parents to a farm SE of Cleveland, ND where she attended the local rural school and received her elementary education. She moved to Jamestown where she worked at the Majestic Cafe, later worked at the Northwest Y Cafe.
She and Raymond Eberhardt were married June 4, 1956 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home on his parent's farm until 1958 when they moved into Jamestown, where she worked at the 20 Club. In 1960 she went to work at Red Owl until going to the Eagles Club where she worked for 20 years. In 1987 she retired and traveled to various Midwest states with Raymond while he worked for Northern Improvement. They have continued to reside in Jamestown.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, scrap books, family history, country music, German cooking, flower gardening and her weekly lunches with the ladies. She always looked forward to visits from her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, Jamestown, ND, 4 children, Bonnie (Paul) Berg, Carrington, ND, Pennie (Tom) Murray, Aberdeen, SD, Jodie (Kyle) Schafer, Crookston, MN, Scott Eberhardt, Jamestown, ND, 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jordan Berg, LaNor Weatherly, Brittany Murray, Alicia Bryant, Dustin Schafer, Jacob Ray Eberhardt, 1 great grandson, Collin Pigors, and 2 brothers, Robert (Violet) Dewald, Jamestown, ND, and Norman (Shirley) Dewald, Belfair, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Fred Gutschmidt, and 1 brother, Harry.
The funeral services will be at 10:30AM Saturday March 19, 2005 in St. John's Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Doug Opp, officiating.
Prayer Service 7:30 PM Friday evening at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
Funeral arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND.
