Delmar E. Beglau of Gackle, North Dakota

Delmar Eugene Beglau, 78, Gackle, ND died Sunday morning August 13, 2017 at the Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.

Delmar was born July 23, 1939 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Adolph and Natalia (Koenig) Beglau. He attended school at Alfred Public School where he received his elementary education and graduated from Gackle High School in 1958. He attended the ND State School of Science at Wahpeton, ND for auto mechanics.

He helped on the family farm NE of Alfred, ND until 1981 when he moved to Gackle to help his mother. He always enjoyed working on the farm.

He entered the Gackle Care Center in 2014 and in September of 2015 he entered Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.

He was a member of the First United Congregational Church in Gackle.

He is survived by his brother, Dwight Beglau, Fridley, MN; 2 nephews, Nathan and Adam Beglau, 2 step nephews, Jeff and Bradley Marsh, and 2 step nieces, Terry Anderson and Jody Raines.

Delmar was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister-in-law, Karen.
